Calling In Conversations: Imperfect Activism
Wednesday, May 27
7pm-9pm EST

Most of us are trying, genuinely, imperfectly trying. We stumble, speak when our voice shakes, show up even when we don't have the plan down. But somehow, our effort becomes the target. What's worse, the criticism comes from the people who should stand beside us in solidarity. This work is hard enough! Can we hold each other to a standard without treating every stumble like a betrayal? Let's talk about not turning on each other for not being perfect.
Calling In Conversations are a space for a free-flowing virtual group discussion. Share your stories, questions, and personal experiences with Calling In around a loosely-themed topic. Our topic this month is Calling In: Imperfect Activism.
NOTES
The format of Calling In Conversations allows us to create a community feel quickly because it’s live and in the moment. To preserve this, we don’t share any recordings of these sessions.
We value inclusion and access for all participants. Given our small team size, limited resources, and the commitment we have to keep all offerings financially accessible to most, we may not be able to accommodate requests. However, we will make efforts to accommodate where possible. Please contact us if you’d like to make a reasonable accommodation request. Please try to submit any request at least 48 hours in advance of the event.
Calling In course lectures are the only offerings that are recorded and whose slide decks are available to review after the live event for the duration of the course plus one week. Learning Labs are not available for review. Calling In Conversations are not available for review. Events include closed captioning but closed captioning is not available in Learning Labs breakout rooms.
COMMITMENT TO THE WORK
We also would be grateful for any additional donation you’d like to make so that Loretta can continue to bring this work to many people. Loretta J. Ross is committed to making this work as financially accessible as possible.
