Dred Feminist was created about 5-6 years ago, when I noticed that the very recognizable women’s symbol had never been dreaded! So I started doodling some dreadlocks on it. I thought it could be a neat logo to embrace for myself. I spell it “Dred” in tribute and honor of Dred Scott, the famous Supreme Court decision that built in Jim Crow segregation and the idea of 3/5ths of a human.
