Meet Your Calling In Trainers
Loretta J. Ross
LORETTA, FOUNDER
The news is so bad. And so dreadful. And so discouraging that we can barely consume it. But let's keep in mind the people we're fighting who are anti-human rights; they're not even fighting us.
They're fighting time.
They're fighting truth.
They're fighting evidence.
And they're fighting history.
Even without us, nobody can roll back time, can deny the truth permanently. Bury history. Or, keep evidence silent forever. What they're fighting is not only bigger than them, but those four things—time, truth, evidence, and history—are on our side.
Calling In practices are so important, so that we don't snatch defeat on the way to victory. It's imperative to ensure that we don't grind each other up and harm each other out of our despair and drama. The Calling In framework offers practical ways to be able to reach across the divide, rooted in an understanding of white supremacy and a practice of anti-oppression principles.
