Ready to transform the way you communicate and engage during conflict?
Join our revolutionary four-week course to learn the Calling In framework to create conversations filled with love, compassion, and joy. Let’s start making a meaningful impact!
Tuesdays, we learn with Loretta J. Ross and trainers Luz Rodriguez, and ANYANWU in a lecture-style setting. Learn to:
Bridge political divides with empathetic communication techniques
Connect effectively with those who hold different views
Engage with today's pressing problems directly
Use strategies for managing difficult interactions with more ease
Gain new insights and change how you approach life’s challenging moments
Build stronger relationships through better communication
Discover ways to deepen your interactions
Explore the roots and impacts of cancel culture
Define your purpose and impact within the human rights movement
Calling In starts with you. Our Thursdays’ Learning Labs offer space for deeper self-reflection: How did you come to your current approach to conflict? What growth do you seek? Where is your edge of discomfort? How can you contribute with joy, even in your hardest moments?
Get ready to connect, reflect, and grow! In small groups led by our dedicated volunteer facilitators, you’ll explore your motivations and experiences, gaining deep insights into Calling In theory and its real-life impact. You'll be empowered to turn theory into meaningful action, fostering a more compassionate and connected life.
*Participation in Learning Labs breakout groups is restricted to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. The presence of minors—including infants—is strictly prohibited in or near the breakout group environment, irrespective of their level of participation. All participants are required to have their video on for the entirety of the breakout session. Exceptions and accommodations will only be made upon prior request and with explicit written approval from the LoRossta team.
NOTES
If you purchase the $5 option, you will have access to only the first week of the Course, including Learning Labs of that first week. If your purchase of this $5 option is after the first week, you will receive the access to the recording of the first week’s lecture only. Space may be limited so first come, first served. If space fills beyond capacity, we will reimburse your payment if we cannot accommodate you.
We value inclusion and access for all participants. Given our small team size, limited resources, and the commitment we have to keep all offerings financially accessible to most, we may not be able to accommodate requests. However, we will make efforts to accommodate where possible. Contact us if you’d like to make a reasonable accommodation request. Please try to submit any request at least 48 hours in advance of the event.
RECORDINGS & VIDEO: Calling In course lectures are the only offerings that are recorded and whose slide decks are available to review after the live event for the duration of the course plus one week. Calling In Conversations are not available for review. You will be required to have your video on for the duration of the breakout rooms in Learning Labs and in Community Discussion groups. Learning Labs are recorded for quality assurance purposes only. They are not available for review. Events include closed captioning but closed captioning is not available in Learning Labs breakout rooms.
